The ASTM A860 WPHY 65 specification fittings are made from wrought high strength but low carbon alloyed stainless steel. The major contents of the WPHY 65 material are nickel, chromium, molybdenum, manganese and copper. Heat Treatment of WPHY 65

WPHY 65 Pipe fittings can be produced as per MSS SP 75 shall be furnished in the heat treated condition. Hot formed fittings temp need be cooled below the lower critical temperature prior to heat treatment. WPHY 65 Fittings are recommended be heat treated by one or more of the following procedures: annealing (stress relieving), normalizing, normalizing and tempering, quenching and tempering.
